Anderson described him as the ‘perfect gentleman’
Liam Neeson has said he is “madly in love” with Pamela Anderson after starring in a new movie with her.
The pair recently worked together in The Naked Gun, an upcoming reboot of the iconic Leslie Nielsen comedy.
Neeson plays the role of Frank Drebin Jr. in the film, which will be the fifth instalment in the franchise.
In April this year, it was announced that Anderson had joined the cast, and it seems like she and Neeson got on like a house on fire.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Neeson couldn’t speak highly enough of his co-star.
“With Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her,” he said. “She’s just terrific to work with.”
“I can’t compliment her enough, I’ll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She’s funny and so easy to work with. She’s going to be terrific in the film.”
The feeling was clearly mutual as well, with the Baywatch star labelling the Northern Irishman the “perfect gentleman.”
She said: “He brings out the best in you… with respect, kindness and depth of experience. It was an absolute honour to work with him.”
While Neeson is best known for his action film roles, The Naked Gun will see him venture into the world of comedy.
And it seems like he’s unsure how it’s going to go, telling People: “Whether I can carry it or not, I honestly don’t know.”
But Anderson said he had nothing to worry about, revealing she found it “hard to keep a straight face” when they were filming scenes together.
The Naked Gun is due to be released in cinemas on August 1 next year.
