Granted, not all of us have a camera on us when we’re acting as co-pilot to the missus, but we’ve rarely seen a more patient man in the passenger seat than Stephen Ireland in this clip.
The Aston Villa midfielder kindly agreed to lend a hand to his girlfriend Jessica Lawlor on a recent sojourn to Ballinora in Cork, where Jessica is standing in as manager of the local GAA cub in the current series of Celebrity Bainisteoir: The Rivals on RTE.
As it turns out, Jessica is about as bad at driving as Stephen is at lying about his grandmothers, as is evident in the clip above when she tries to make her way from the airport to Ballinora with Stephen and Google Maps as her guide.
Stephen himself doesn’t seem to be offering much in the way of directions – it could be the much-derided Apple maps version he was looking at – but we certainly can’t help but admire his patience.
Not such a bad guy after all.
Check out the preview clip for yourself in the video above.
