He may have revealed hitherto unknown rap skills during the Euros but Kevin Kilbane has decided to return to football as he penned a deal today with Coventry City.
When Kevin Kilbane showed that he was not only a very good football pundit but a bit of a rapping legend during Euro 2012, we thought he would hang up his boots forever.
A back operation in January ended his season with Hull and it was assumed that the 110-cap Irish international would quit the game for good to concentrate on coaching and media work.
Instead a trial at Coventry City in Division 1 has turned into a one-year deal for the former Everton man. Kilbane is one of the nicest men in football and if he feels he can still play, we’re glad that he has been given another shot.
We hope he keeps up his media work too and if you fancy doing anymore rap videos Kev, just let us know.
