Despite his team playing better than ever in his absence, Roberto Mancini has offered Carlos Tevez a road back into the Manchester City side.
However, the arsey Argentinian is unlikely to take the Italian up on the offer as it would involve a groveling apology and, as reported earlier, it seems likely that he will still be shifted on in January.
Mancini told an Italian newspaper: "Everything depends on Carlos. If he apologises to the squad and to me then everything will be as before.
"If he doesn't then Tevez has a value that everyone knows and something will happen in January. He is totally unprepared and being badly advised. I don't want it to be like this and I would be the first to forgive him."
Considering a few days ago Tevez was threatening to sue Mancini for defamation it seems unlikely that the offer will be accepted but you never know. It’s a long time until January and if Mario Balotelli or Edin Dzeko were to get injured, Carlos Tevez would have a bit of leverage.
But as it is, City don’t need him so Mancini can play the nice guy and put all the pressure back on Tevez. Well played Roberto.
