Carlos Valderrama was one of the most eye-catching players ever to grace the game, but for some reason, he has decided to give the famous hairdo the chop.

The Colombian international must be up there in most people’s lists of favourite footballers of all-time, and he wasn’t half bad either. The dead-ball specialist has over 100 hundred caps for his country and played in three World Cups, though his Wikipedia page has invented a club career with Man Utd, Barcelona and Real Madrid among other noted teams.
It will be his iconic barnet that he will be forever associated with, but the flowing blonde locks that made him a global star are no more.

For some reason we cannot figure out, the 51 year-old has decided for a change, taking to Twitter to say that “Just like some things can change in football, I changed my look.”
We are in a state of mourning, but time is a great healer, and we will always have the memories.
