Video: Tijuana see Robbie Keane’s lovely goal for LA Galaxy last night?

Robbie Keane was back in the LA Galaxy colours and back amongst the goals with an impressive effort in a facile pre-season victory over Tijuana last night.

It would really be stretching what is becoming a tired gag to say that Keane has dreamt about scoring against Tijuana since he was a young boy, but he certainly had goals on his mind early on with the opening goal after just four minutes.

Keane, wearing the captain’s armband on the night, pulled off a nice nutmeg while running straight through the porous opposition defence, but while he was slightly fortunate in the build-up, there was nothing lucky about the finish as he nonchalantly dinked the ball over the ‘keeper to put the Galaxy into the lead, which they never relinquished in a 6-2 victory.

It might have only been a pre-season game, but with few Irish strikers in goalscoring form at the moment, it’s nice to see Robbie in good nick ahead of a couple of vital games for the Boys in Green next month.
