We grabbed Bernard Brogan for a quick chat yesterday at the launch of Red Bull’s Cúl 5 tournament. Here’s what he told us.
At a breezy Dublin Port yesterday Dublin GAA star Bernard Brogan braved the elements to chat to JOE. We were there to find out about the brilliant new tournament for underage GAA teams called Red Bull Cúl 5.
With teams from around the country set to participate in a specially constructed pitch in the Port, it could be the start of a whole new GAA sport and we can’t wait to see the finished product, and a few games, on May 25. You can find out more about the event, and how you could be involved, here.
While we had the 2011 Footballer of the Year we also asked him about life under new Dublin boss Jim Gavin, the rising tide of forwards that are snapping at his heels these days in the Dublin panel and, considering he’s a Manchester United fan, what he made of Alex Ferguson’s departure.
