We all know that Supermac's is Galway’s spiritual centre so this sign in their window must be a fair summation of the mood in the city following their Leinster hurling success.
It is still hard to get our collective heads around Galway’s demolition of Kilkenny on Sunday. A performance of power, skill and tactics left the reigning Leinster and All-Ireland champions looking flat-footed and the Tribe fully deserved their 10-point win.
But we all know there is a long way to go in the Championship and Brian Cody’s men haven’t gone away you know. If Kilkenny get a second crack at Galway later in the summer, you would have to fear a mighty backlash.
Anyway, if most of the country is still afraid of the Cats, the residents of Galway are not. They have slain the dragon, brought the Bob O'Keeffe Cup across the Shannon and a September coronation is now inevitable.
The proof of this is provided by @cailinrua1 who tweeted this pic from one of the Supermac's branches in the city, with Cross Street being suggested to us.

Will this sort of thing come back to bite them? How will a picture like this be received in Kilkenny, or Thurles? Still, it is great to see the lads from out west with a bit of bounce in their step again. It’s been too long.
And while we are on the subject, the rather strange Sunday Game segment, which appeared to show the Galway team celebrating in a hotel late on Sunday has been cleared up today.
The Irish Daily Star report that the segment was recorded and that by the time it was broadcast, the team were almost home. Will they be back for the real post-match celebration segment later in the year? They certainly think so in Supermac's.
