Video: Footage of alleged spitting incident on Paul Galvin emerges

Cookstown of Tyrone defeated Finuge of Kerry in last month’s All-Ireland intermediate final, but footage of an alleged spitting incident has emerged.

The Kerryman has brought to light footage that appears to show a Tyrone player spitting at Paul Galvin while running past the Kerry star during the game. The wing-forward shows remarkable restraint and composure, highlighting the incident to fellow inter-county star and Tyrone forward Owen Mulligan.

Finuge, club of Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice, lost out to their Ulster rivals on the day on a scoreline of 1-09 to 0-06.

While the footage isn’t 100% conclusive – we do see Galvin wiping his face – it does seem like a most disgusting act on the GAA pitch, or anywhere else for that matter.

Cork’s Eoin Cadogan, a player who has many a battle on the pitch with the Kingdom forward, summed it up well on Twitter this morning.
