Leonardo DiCaprio has played down rumours that he and Love Island host Maya Jama are dating.
DiCaprio, 48, and
Jama, 28, were reportedly introduced to each other through mutual friends. They then partied together in London over the weekend of the Baftas and were spotted together on two different nights.
They were also recently pictured together as they left the Le Piaf club in Paris, The
Sun reported.
However, a representative for the actor denied the rumours in a statement to the
MailOnline, while another told
Metro that the pair were just friends.
Additionally, an insider told
The Sun that the two are “just having fun” after recently leaving long-term relationships.
“They have both recently come out of long-term relationships so neither of them are rushing into anything — they are having fun and seeing how it goes,” they claimed.
“They live in different countries and Maya has had a long distance relationship before and knows it’s tough, so they are taking things a day at a time. Leo has certainly been wooing her though, he loves spending time with her.”
Last summer, DiCaprio split up with his girlfriend of five years
Camila Morrone, and in recent months has been spotted out with 27-year-old Gigi Hadid as well as
other younger women.
There were also reports suggesting he was seeing
19-year-old model Eden Polani.
Jama meanwhile recently split from basketball player
Ben Simmons.
