Everyone has different approaches to fashion. A traditionalist will stick to the rules with a classic look while a flashy dresser is willing to take more risks.
Regardless of whether you go safe or take fashion chances, you could win €1000 at the Galway Races. JOE has joined up with Halo in Galway to find the Best Dressed Gent at this year’s races.
The best-dressed men from the track on Saturday, 5 August, will be invited to Halo that night. Once there, one lucky winner will walk away with €1000 for their sartorial excellence.
The evening will be hosted by JOE’s Eric Lalor and TV3’s Deric Hartigan. Deric told us that he’s looking forward to judging this year’s competition.
“The Galway Races are synonymous with style and I’m really looking forward to taking the judging reins this year with JOE and Halo,” Deric said. “From classic cuts to race track retro, only tailored thoroughbreds will be pipped to the post!”
They’ll be mixing with guests at the event and there’ll be a chance to grab a photo with them on the night.
Halo’s Race Week line-up
Halo is Galway’s premier destination on a night out and there’s a packed schedule of events organised for the Galway Race Week.
Wednesday will see the Halo host SportsJOE Live with Colm Parkinson, Damo Clarke and a panel of Irish sporting greats. There’ll also be some amazing prizes up for grabs on the night. Get your FREE tickets here.
Thursday is Ladies Day and Halo and Her.ie will host the Best Dressed Lady event, with Rosanna Davison and Her.ie’s Gillian Fitzpatrick judging the competition and Today FM’s Kelly Anne Byrne playing a soul and funk set.
You can Go to Mass after the races on Friday, with Mass Live and Loud on the top floor and Melted offering the best of disco, house edits and dance floor anthems.
Finally, Sunday will see Halo host the Paddy Power Wrap Party and prizes include a fantastic €300 Paddy Power Galway Races Betting Voucher. Book a table for six and you could win two free bottles of Gin Mare and 1724 Tonic.
