It’s been quite some time since we’ve been able to get swept up in the excitement of a day at the races, and now that full capacity events are back with a bang, the Dublin Racing Festival is coming at an excellent time.
Taking place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th of February for its fifth year of top-class racing and entertainment, this year’s Dublin Racing Festival marks the return of the public to Leopardstown Racecourse after over two years.
A real highlight of the Irish racing calendar, the festival features eight Grade One races, including the Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup and the Chanelle Pharma Irish Champion Hurdle. With over €2 million in prize money to be won, this is set to be a true celebration of jumps racing, music and culture.
Some of the best horses Ireland and Great Britain have to offer will line up at the Foxrock festival, the marvellous Honeysuckle, the brilliant Al Boum Photo and the Grand National Champion Minella Times among them.
Whether you’re a horse racing fanatic or have been craving a top-quality day out, the Dublin Racing Festival is just what you need. Across the weekend you can expect entertainment from buskers throughout the day, live music on the Bulmers Secret Orchard stage from Mundy and George Murphy, top notch food and drinks, as well as live streaming of the Six Nations Rugby matches.
