COMPETITION: Win a weekend trip for two to Barcelona or Amsterdam

Fancy a free trip?

With summer 2018 all wrapped up, colleges and universities are all back into the full swing of things. You'll soon get to see your friends again, as well as have the chance to make even more.

While a new semester brings with it a world of opportunities, winning a free trip to one of Europe's top cities would certainly mix things up a bit though, wouldn't it? The toughest thing you'll have to sort yourself is packing your bags.

How to enter

Next Tuesday, 18 September, Iarnród Éireann are holding their "Build the Train Tracks" competition for students in the main concourse area of UCD between 12-2 pm. What you have to do is build a set of train tracks, and then get your train from the start of the track to the finish line.

The main prize on the day will be a trip for two people to either Amsterdam or Barcelona. Both are incredible cities with a tonne of things to do, so you can't go wrong with either!

To be in with a chance of winning, take a photo of yourself playing the game in UCD and post it to the JOE Twitter page. You must also tag @IrishRail, also use the #DreamTrips. The best selfie will win the trip.

To get your free vacation on track (get it?) just head to the UCD campus next Tuesday. Iarnród Éireann will be by the Library, celebrating Fresher's week and looking for some quality track-builders.

The main prize for the competition includes flights and accommodation for two people to either Amsterdam or Barcelona. Irish Rail will be handing out plenty of prizes throughout the day, including Just Eat prizes to feed you poor hungry students.
