If you’re ordering food in or around DCU any time soon, you might notice some interesting-looking delivery drivers around the campus…
Those little guys are Hosted Kitchens’ brand new food delivery robots, and we’re giving you the chance to suggest a name for these new members of the Hosted Kitchens family.
Hosted Kitchens is a brand new Dublin-based tech start-up that’s helping restaurants increase online orders and move into new locations.
Hosted Kitchens converts under-used retail and hospitality spaces into virtual kitchens, and then these locations are used as a centralised kitchen for up to 20 delivery restaurants.
Some of the restaurants that work with Hosted Kitchens include Mad Egg, Vocho, Hush Burger and Gochu Korean kitchen.
And to meet the high-demand for food deliveries in student areas, Hosted Kitchens have employed some food delivery robots to deliver delicious takeaways across DCU campus.

At a height of 45cm and weighing 25kg, the robots can hold around four large pizzas, making them a pretty indispensable part of the service.
And the best news? Hosted Kitchens want YOU to name these new delivery robots.
The winner will get their hands on €1,000 worth of Hosted Kitchens Food Delivery vouchers (€250 for each Hosted Kitchens restaurant listed above) and the runner-up will receive a €500 voucher that can be used in any Hosted Kitchens restaurant.
