Summer is all about fun times and festivals, and Summer 2013 is shaping up to be a great one, especially with festivals Forbidden Fruit (Bank Holiday weekend 1st – 2nd June) and Body and Soul (21st – 23rd June) already in the diary.

To get everyone in the mood we’ve picked 3 tunes from some of the main acts so sit back, crack open a Bulmers in the sunshine (hopefully it’s stopped raining and you're over 18) and enjoy:

1. Kasabian – Fire (2009)
Kasabian will be headlining the Forbidden Fruit festival on Saturday 1st June and fingers-crossed they’ll include Fire in their set-list. After starting with a toe-tapping, head-nodding intro, Fire builds and builds until the chorus kicks in. And when it kicks in, it really kicks in:
2. Primal Scream – Rocks (1994)
Looking after headlining duties at Forbidden Fruit on Sunday 2nd June, British rockers Primal Scream will hopefully treat the adoring crowd to a rocking rendition of Rocks:
3. Wallis Bird – LaLaLand (2009)
It wouldn’t be a proper Irish festival at all without some quality Irish performers getting in on the act themselves, and the Body and Soul Festival certainly doesn’t disappoint. One particular highlight will be Wexford local Wallis Bird who’ll be gracing the Second Stage with her reggae-infused LaLaLand:
