WATCH: Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Sarah Paulson all hilarously attempt to do an Irish accent

Rory Cashin

“It starts off Irish, and then I get very Jamaican.”

It has been a while since the guys-only Ocean’s Trilogy finished up in the cinema, and now the ladies are here to show how a heist is really done.

Among the all-star cast is Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Sarah Paulson, and JOE and Her were lucky enough to have a nice sit-down with this tremendously talented trio about their new US box office topping hit.

In among the chats about who they think was the coolest actress in Hollywood history and which female director they’d love to see direct Ocean’s 9, the conversation of accents also comes up, and the whole thing quickly descends into madness.

In Ocean’s 8, one of the eight is actually Irish, and is played by Helena Bonham Carter. As Cate Blanchett brought one of the best Irish accents ever to the big screen for her turn as Veronica Guerin, we had to ask what she thought of Helena’s accent, and which accents they found to be the hardest to pull off properly.

Instead, the three actresses all attempt to do an Irish accent, and end up completely cracking each other up in the process. Check out the full interview right here:

Ocean’s 8 is in Irish cinemas from Monday 18 June, and you can check out the trailer for the movie below.

Also, JOE and The Big Reviewski will be hosting a heist-themed movie quiz in association with Warner Brothers, and you can check out the full details for that right here.
