Celebrity Chefs we love to hate: Gino D’Acampo

Some of the best foods come from Italy, like pizza and pasta, but sadly some of the most annoying chefs come from there too, like Gino D'Acampo.

Some of the best foods come from Italy, like pizza and pasta, but sadly some of the most annoying chefs come from there too, like Gino D’Acampo.

What’s not to like about Gino D’Acampo? Well, where do we start? Did you know that only a few years before Gino became a household name he spent two years in the slammer? Now, he wasn’t sent there for his cooking atrocities, instead, he was locked up at the age of 21 for stealing one of Paul Young’s guitars.

In fairness, we can forgive Gino for his stint in the slammer, but we can’t forgive him for taking part in I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here (considered a life sentence for most).

He got in a spot of bother with fellow ‘celebrity’ Stuart Manning after the pair caught, killed and cooked a rat in the jungle. We just hope he didn’t learn his rat killing skills in the back of his kitchens. He also didn’t do too well in the bush tucker trials, as you’ll see below.

While Gino has straightened up since his youth and even though he’s put the horrors of the Australian jungle behind him, he’s still your stereotypical overly passionate Italian chef. What’s wrong with just rustling up a nice meal without the fuss?

If tasty food minus the fuss is what you’re after, then you’re better off ordering your food from Just-Eat.ie.

Take the hassle out of being the chef tonight – remember – Don’t Cook, JUST EAT
