Father Ted-themed scavenger hunt for Irish woman suffering from Lyme Disease taking place this Saturday

Carl Kinsella

A great idea for a great cause.

We’ve previously written about Denise Ryan, a brave woman battling Lyme Disease and doing her utmost to raise €100,000 in order to go the US for life-saving treatment.

Events professionals Paul Lawford and Myriam Riand have offered their services to Denise and put together a Father Ted-themed scavenger hunt around Dublin to take place this Saturday, May 14.

The event is called The Old Grey Whistle Hunt, and it will involve galavanting around Dublin (starting at Merrion Square), following clues, solving puzzles and having as much craic as possible in the name of a great cause. Tickets can be bought here at €10 per person, and every penny goes straight to the Denise Ryan Fund.

Those who do take part will be in line to win one of two unreal prizes – one Electric Picnic weekend camping ticket or two Life Festival weekend camping tickets.

Denise is already more than halfway to her target, and her progress can be monitored on her Go Fund Me page. The Facebook event page for The Old Grey Whistle Hunt can be found here.
