WATCH: Foil Arms and Hog’s latest sketch perfectly sums up every Irish family when we see a bit of sun

Rudi Kinsella

Foil Arms and Hog

Accurate as ever from the Foil Arms and Hog lads.

Last weekend saw what can only be described as an Irish heatwave, and as quickly as the sun came, so too did the hysterics from the Irish population. It seemed like every single person in the country was either drinking at the canal or having a barbecue in their back garden. We all had a good run, but normal service seems to have resumed for now anyway.

As usual, the Foil Arms and Hog lads are spot on with their depiction of the stereotypical Irish family the second they see a bit of sun. Have a look for yourself!

Some highlights from the video include your typical Irish dad struggling to operate a barbecue, every Irish granny having painfully cold hands despite it being 30 degrees outside, and every Irish mammy’s insistence that you wear both factor 70 sun cream, and a sun hat for some reason. You’ve definitely heard one of your family members use one of these lines before.

Here’s hoping our summer isn’t over just yet, and we see lots more of this ridiculous behaviour from Irish families for weeks to come. We won’t hold our breaths though…
