Gallery: National Children’s hospital paint Twitter-Powered Christmas Tree

Get tweeting for The National Children's Hospital...

Christmas is a time for Tweeting…

It’s a magical time of the year. So magic in fact that Christmas trees are being powered by your Tweets.

“What is this crazy sorcery?” we hear you ask. Well, SPAR‘s Christmas tree is getting a bulb lit every time somebody uses the hashtag #underthetree while Tweeting.

And, when the tree is fully illuminated, The National Children’s Hospital will receive an awesome €20,000 to mark the launch of their official charity partnership with SPAR.

Now that’s magic.

The little creative geniuses over at The National Children’s hospital have put together some wonderful Christmas tree collages which are available to view in our gallery. These pictures are from Noor (8 years), Alex (6 years), Maebh (12 years), Titus (8 years), Claire (5 years) and Cathal (7 years).

If you want to have a look at the Twitter Tree and happen to be in Dublin, then take a stroll over to SPAR in the Ranelagh Triangle. While you’re there you might as well tweet a selfie of yourself with it too and make sure you use the hashtag #underthetree.
