As part of the Belgian Beer Weekend kicking off tomorrow, 13 September, Guinness Open Gate Brewery has announced there will be a brand-new beer crafted especially for the event. With the help of their fellow beer makers over in Belgium, the beer will be exclusive to those who attend the event.

Brewed to celebrate the long-standing friendship between Guinness and Timmermans, Belgium’s oldest active lambic brewery, this new creation will be a blend of three different beers. It’s described as a dark beer made from Lambic, a wild-fermented Kriek; Guinness West Indies Porter and Belgian-exclusive Guinness Special Export.

In other words, a one-of-a-kind pint.

There will be a wide range of different tasting beers throughout the weekend, all of which will be paired with delicious Belgian chocolate. If the fact your €8 ticket will get you into a room filled with chocolate and beer doesn’t convince you to go, we’re not sure what will!

Open Gate Brewery is announcing the headliner for its first Belgian Beer Weekend, taking place from 13 to 15 September 2018. An exclusive to Ireland, visitors to the Open Gate Brewery will be among the first in the world to try an exclusive one-off Guinness and Timmermans collaboration brew. Follow the Open Gate Brewery Instagram to hear about their latest creations.
