Irish tourist attraction is up for Best in Europe award

This is the tourist industry equivalent of the Oscars.

The Guinness Storehouse has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Europe’s leading tourist attraction’ category in the prestigious World Travel Awards.

Hailed as ‘the Oscars of the travel industry,’ the Guinness Storehouse is Ireland’s first attraction to be shortlisted for the award.

Other historic and famous attractions also listed on the shortlist include the Acropolis, Athens (pic above), Buckingham Palace, England, La Sagrada Familia, Spain, Ribeira do Porto, Portugal, the Roman Coliseum, Italy and the Eiffel Tower, France.

The World Travel Awards European gala ceremony will be held in Forte Village, Sardinia on September 5th, 2015.
