Pic: Irish guy writes impassioned letter to Cadbury’s about disappointing Crème Egg experience

This one comes from the heart

Conor Heneghan

Think you love your Crème Eggs? Not as much as this guy.

We’re sure that Cadbury’s Crème Eggs are beloved throughout the world, but with absolutely no evidence to support the claim whatsoever, we also know that they are more popular in Ireland than anywhere else.

You only had to see the reaction in these parts to the recent revelations about the change of ingredients to understand just how much they matter.

It was a little something like this…

As well as the change in ingredients, of course, Cadbury’s also announced that Crème Egg multipacks would be sold with six Crème Eggs in the pack instead of five.

If that wasn’t bad enough, they must have been pulling a fast one on the multipacks as well because one Irish Crème Egg consumer had a deeply unpleasant experience at a Lidl in Ranelagh recently and he wasn’t about to let it go.

What was the deeply unpleasant experience you ask? Well, the Cadbury’s multipack he bought in the store contained only FOUR Crème Eggs instead of five. That’s right, FOUR.

The consumer in question, one Liam Mulligan, would have been within his rights to write a furious letter to Cadbury’s afterwards.

Instead, he penned a reasoned, impassioned and even affectionate essay about his experience and his love for all things Crème Egg and though it’ll take a few minutes, it’s well worth a read.

By the way, he’s bang on about those Crème Egg Easter Eggs; we’ve been saying the same thing for years.

Hat-tip to Orla for sending this one our way
