Pic: There's a very funny edit made to the Wikipedia page of RTE show Nationwide
This is happily beyond the pale.
We're sure that any commissioning editor in RTE has to provide a specific list of reasons why certain shows should be broadcast.
Obviously the news is a daily requirement because we all need to stay up to date with current affairs while also witnessing some epic duela between Sharon Ní Bheoláin and flies.
The Sunday Game and the Darragh Maloney's football panel obviously serve the most important role in the station, letting Joe Brolly/ Eamon Dunphy et al. provide more entertainment than 80% of the matches that they're actually covering while re-runs of The Simpsons need no explanation.
Nationwide provides a unique voice for personal interest stories and cultural events around Ireland although one
Jackeen messer feels that there's far to much of a 'country agenda' on the show.
JOE reader Marty Ryan brought this to our attention and it made us laugh.
