Lionel Messi’s eye for a good tattoo isn’t as sharp as his eye for goal, it seems.
Such is our admiration for Lionel Messi that it takes an awful lot for us to say even a slightly derogatory word about one of the greatest footballers of all time.
However, having criticised his fashion sense in the past – one particular jacket he wore to a Ballon d’Or ceremony to be more precise – we can’t say we’re too gone on the tattoo he’s just had inked on the left leg that has been the source of so much joy for football fans in the last few years.
Messi’s missus, the lovely Antonella Roccuzzo, posted a picture on Instagram of the couple’s child Thiago drawing on Messi’s left thigh, above the new tattoo, which consists of a sword engulfed in roses along with a football on one side of the sword’s handle and Messi’s number ten on the other.
We’re not going to see a whole lot of Messi’s latest tatt considering that it will be covered by his socks anytime we see him on the pitch and with all due respect to the great man, that might not be the worst thing.
