This spells trouble.
It’s around this time of year when third level students will join societies in an effort to ingratiate themselves in college life, meet some new friends and invent a sure-fire excuse to go on the tear every week.
The Harry Potter Society in University College Cork is still a relatively new society having only been formed two years ago, but it’s proving remarkably popular if pictures from the campus this evening are anything to go by.
This evening, the society held its ‘Sorting Ceremony,’ an event that, in the books and the movies, is an annual ceremony where first-year students are ‘sorted’ into the four Hogwarts Houses.
From the looks of things, nearly every first year in UCC turned up.

We’ve a feeling that the only houses the members of the UCC Harry Potter Society will be ‘sorted’ into tonight will be houses of the public variety, but here’s hoping they have a magic night all the same.
Cheers to Anna Heverin and UCC Express for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to [email protected] or find us on Facebook or Twitter.
