Soda Bread Box: The new dancing in the dark night that’s taking off in Dublin

Dance like nobody's watching

Joe Harrington

Dance like nobody’s watching.

The people behind Soda Bread Box, the new regular dance night in Dublin, got in touch with us earlier with their “sales pitch” and we instantly wanted to hear more.

Here’s the pitch: 1 hour | No Lights | No Alcohol | No Dress Code | Funky Tunes | Dance Your Socks off

Soda Bread Box believes that everyone’s a dancer and that you should dance in the way the music moves them, not in some choreographed way you’ll see in a Justin Timberlake video.

This move is allowed

For that reason, they’ve created a dimly lit space with killer tunes which they hope will allow people to express and enjoy themselves in a fun, safe and alcohol-free way – Soda Bread Box.

It’s one of the best things you can do on a Monday night in Dublin and considering it’s an hour of dancing, which is hardcore, do it instead of going to the gym or for a run.
