There should be warmer weather on the way, so now is a great time to add chinos to your day-to-day wardrobe

With Spring around the corner (that’s what we’ve been promised anyway), there’s no better time to be adding a few pairs of chinos to your wardrobe.

From bright colours to classic beige, the chino is a really versatile and handy piece of kit that you can dress down and wear to a casual occasion, or smarten up with a blazer and shirt for a smart look. With that in mind, we’re taking a look through the best on offer with our mates at Littlewoods Ireland and put together a slick outfit that will make sure you’re right on trend this season.

Chinos are a great pair of trousers for warm weather that are not stifling (like jeans can be) but will still be of some use in the odd shower that we get here in the Spring months. Starting with the aforementioned beige, these Goodsouls classic chinos are a regular fit, and are easy on the pocket starting at just €8. They also come in navy, both of which can be matched with a light blue Oxford shirt (€25) to keep it casual.

If you want to get a bit more adventurous, these slim fit chinos come in a variety of colours, from plum to green and red, all of which will inject some much needed colour into your Spring wardrobe at a cost of just €12.50, which is great value. If you’re not too sure how to match them up, a simple white shirt will do the job, or pairing them with a gingham shirt like this one from Ben Sherman (€72) is also a surefire path to success.

One of the looks that’s going to be really big this season is floral all over print, and you can tap in to that without going overboard by pairing the bold pattern with some plain chinos, and this short sleeved shirt from Animal (€45) is a great way to experiment a little bit on that front.

Obviously that’s going to be a pretty casual look, but if you want to smarten things up a touch you can throw a blazer on top of the other looks, and something like this Remus Uomo herringbone number (€104) is the perfect fit.

With all the choice that you’ve got on Littlewoods too, there’s bound to be something to suit your style, so head on over and check out the full selection on offer.
