The good news about this week’s weather is that it won’t be cold, but you can guess the rest

Weather warning

You wouldn’t know it’s April.

After the crazy weather in many parts of the country on Sunday (April 10), especially in Cork, you’d be forgiven for settling with just standard rain over the next few days.

Well, that wish has been granted, as we look ahead to the weather this week in Ireland.

According to Met Éireann, rain is going to be persistent and widespread throughout the country for a lot of Monday, with temperatures ranging from 9 to 13 degrees.

Tuesday is set to start off fairly dour, with cloud and rain expected, but that should ease off in the afternoon allowing for brighter spells and maximum temperatures of 14 degrees.

Meanwhile, Wednesday and Thursday look a bit more positive. Wednesday will start off showery but dry out as the day goes on, with rain a possibility in the evening in certain parts of the south and north.

Thursday looks like being the brightest day of the week, with the only occasional shower interrupting a fairly moderate and, at times, sunny day and temperatures should be at a fairly handy 14 degrees.

We’re the envy of many a nation, aren’t we?…
