Did you know that in his spare time Tommy Bowe likes to design shoes? Well it turns out that shoe designing is something of a hidden talent for the rugby player because he’s just launched his third collection.

The Irish Independent reports that Tommy Bowe first entered the fashion world a year ago when he helped to design a celebrity shoe collection for the posh men’s brand Lloyd & Pryce.

They clearly loved his work because Mr Bowe has just launched his third collection with the company that’s based in his home county of Monaghan.

Apparently Tommy designed 12 new styles of footwear for the fashionable gentleman and named them after rugby legends from the past and the present – and who says that rugby and fashion can’t coexist peacefully?

So what names has he been using for the collection? Well, Tommy posed with the Wood show and the McBride deck shoe for the publicity shots.

Apparently the top selling shoe from his collection is the Hastings ankle boot, while the Heaslip plimsoll and O’Driscoll boot are also near the top of the list.

According to reports, Tommy signed a three-year deal in November 2010 to collaborate with Lloyd & Pryce – owned by the McArdle family.

“Tommy is getting more and more involved in the Lloyd & Pryce range,” said Barry McArdle, whose parents started the firm in the early eighties.

Do you think you could rock an O’Driscoll boot?
