VIDEO: Waterford college student’s Snapchat slurry tutorial demonstrates his comedy chops

Colm Boohig

“Give her a rev to kind of assert your dominance, there.”

If, like us, your farming knowledge could do with an update, then you’d do a lot worse than having a look at this slurry tutorial… before doing even better by ignoring all of what you just heard.

JOE reader Ross Lonergan, a Waterford man from Touraneena who studies in UL, does some farming work in his spare time and decided to have a bit of fun on Snapchat while he was at it.

The 20-year-old student, who is currently working as an auditor as part of his college course, brilliantly explained his thoughts behind the video, which he insists should not be taken seriously as an actual slurry tutorial, when talking to JOE:

“I really don’t know why I did it! Mainly because most people I know in college are surprised when I tell them I’m a farmer, so they always get a good laugh off my stories.”

“So, I often put up stuff, but this was a new one.

“Also, just to let you know, it’s not my actual job! Just so people really know that it’s actually a joke.”

We hear you, Ross. We think you’re doing yourself a disservice, though. Especially when you throw in the Kodaline tune for good measure.

There are so many good quotes from this clip. Have a gander.
