Download Tracks of the Week

This week we're highlighting Adele's cracking new tune, a likely single from Kings of Leon and the poorly named but hugely talented Biffy Clyro.

Adele, Rolling in the Deep. Download here from 16 January.

Adele, real name Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, burst onto the scene back in 2008 with her critically acclaimed debut album 19. The English singer songwriter, known for her stunning vocal ability and ear for a tune, is set to release Rolling in the Deep as the first track off her second studio album, 21. It’s a typically astounding demonstration of how well this girl can sing and is proof that there is room in popular music for people who haven’t sold their souls on X Factor.

Biffy Clyro, Many of Horror. Download here.

Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro have decided that the fourth single from their last album, released earlier this year, didn’t get enough exposure. They’re right – Many of Horror was the stand-out track on Only Revolutions and is very much deserving of a second look. So, they’ve decided re-work the track for a radio and single release under the title Many of Horror (When we Collide).

Although the remix is not yet available, the fact that it is being worked on is excuse enough for us to slot the original, a stunning track lead singer Simon Neil wrote about his wife and family, into Download Tracks of the Week.

Kings of Leon, Pyro. Download here.

Kings of Leon, the best thing to come out of America since the Happy Meal, are now, would you believe, on their fifth studio album. Although the second single from Come Around Sundown has yet to be confirmed, rumour has it that they’re taking the tempo down a notch by running with Pyro. It’s a far more subdued offering than the album’s debut single, but has a chilled, beachy feel to it that has made it a favourite for many who have dived in and downloaded the album.
