You’ve been warned.

Commuters using the M50 in Dublin face likely delays on Monday evening after tailbacks caused by separate incidents near Blanchardstown and Tallaght on Monday afternoon.

At one point, the M50 northbound was down to one lane due to debris between Junction 7 Lucan and Junction 6 Blanchardstown, which caused tailbacks as far as Junction 10 Ballymount as emergency services worked to clear the debris.

Later in the afternoon, a collision on the M50 southbound at Junction 11 Tallaght in the median lane was the source of further delays, with AA Roadwatch reporting that traffic was very slow in both directions approaching the Red Cow Interchange on the Naas Road.

With many commuters yet to hit the M50 on their way home from work, congestion is only likely to increase closer to peak traffic times; be sure to check AA Roadwatch for updates before starting your journey.
