Video: 40-foot truck completes dangerous overtaking manouevre on narrow road in Meath

Yikes

Conor Heneghan

Thankfully, nobody was hurt.

Yesterday, we brought you footage sent into us by JOE reader Shane Monaghan of a terrible and dangerous attempted overtaking manouevre in Galway.

Overnight, another JOE reader anonymously sent us in footage of more dangerous driving on Irish roads; this clip was filmed last month on the morning after Jordan Speith’s victory in the US Masters at Augusta.

The footage was filmed on the Ashbourne to Navan Road and shows a 40-foot truck overtaking a car and a tractor with a trailer attached while driving up a hill on a stretch of road with a single unbroken white line (no overtaking, unless in an emergency).

We’ll let you judge for yourself after watching the video above, but this is crazy driving as far as we can see; luckily no incidents came about as a result.
