Including four VERY DIFFERENT movies kicking off at 9pm…

Tuesdays. What do people even do on a Tuesday?

You could go to the cinema? Either Ralph Breaks The Internet or Creed 2 are worth your time.

Or you could sit in and check one of these out…

TUESDAY 4 DECEMBER

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol – RTE 2 – 9.00pm

The fourth one, the one where Tom climbs the biggest building in the world. Arguably the best one, as its directed by visionary Brad Bird, and it also has that great fight in a constantly moving car park.

Star Trek Into Darkness – FilmFour – 9.00pm

Knowing in advance that Benedict Cumberbatch is ultimate bad guy Khan actually helps make this a slightly better movie. Besides, there is actually a better twist hidden in here, as well as some fantastically executed space action.

Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery – Comedy Central – 9.00pm

The first one, with Elizabeth Hurley in great Bond Girl form, and the one that introduced us to Dr. Evil and his emo-y son Scott. Still holds up fantastically well.

Sleepy Hollow – Syfy – 9.00pm

Johnny Depp is a man of science, who is sent to a small town in 19th century America to find out the truth about a “headless horseman”. Christina Ricci, Miranda Richardson, Casper Van Dien, Michael Gambon, Christopher Lee and Christopher Walken fill out the impressive cast for this creepy gothic horror.

The Watch – FilmFour – 11.35pm

Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill, and Richard Ayoade star in this sci-fi comedy about a group of neighbours who set up a neighbourhood watch in their small town, only to discover that they may be about to come under attack from aliens. Not a great movie, to be honest, but diverting enough to help you drift off to sleep…

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
