Absolute Bay-hem: First full trailer for Transformers: Age Of Extinction rolls out and it is explodetastic

American flag? Check. Explosions? Check. Scantily-clad ladies? Check. Looks like we got ourselves a bona fide Michael Bay trailer...

American flag? Check. Explosions? Check. Scantily-clad ladies? Check. Looks like we got ourselves a bona fide Michael Bay trailer…

In spite of JOE’s better judgement and trying not to get our hopes up too much, we do have to admit that between the fourth film’s Superbowl teaser, its moody, squinty posters and now this shiny new trailer, we actually cannot wait to see it when it explodes into Irish cinemas this coming July.

Set in a post-Transformers 3 America (check out the nifty ‘Remember Chicgao’ billboard below), the film stars Marky Mark Wahlberg as a mechanic who gets caught up in the war between the Autobots and Decepticons after discovering a beat up, rusty old truck… that just happens to be Optimus Prime.

We especially like the moment that he biazrrely finds a number of old shell casings in the cab of the battered, bruised truck…

Wahlberg’s funky bunch consists of Megan Fox Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Nicola Peltz as his daughter and, very excitedly, up and coming Irish star Jack Reynor as Shane, presumably the film’s young hero/Peltz’s love interest/Optimus Prime’s new BFF.

Jack, you wucky, wucky b*stard.

As we’ve said before though, don’t worry if all of that makes no sense because JOE has kindly prepared this very handy alternative summary for your perusal:

AMERICAN FLAG! EXPLOSIONS! AGH! SHOUTY BITS! JACK REYNOR! AGGGH! MORE EXPLOSIONS! DAD! AMERICAN FLAG! OPTIMUS PRIME! DINOBOTS! OPTIMUS PRIME FIGHTING DINOBOTS! EVEN MORE EXPLOSIONS! AAAAAAAGH!

And so there you have it.

This latest clip also gives us our first look at a shadowy, gravel-toned Kelsey ‘Bad’ Grammer (see picture above), Prime knocking seven shades of rust metal out of devastatingly deadly Dinobot Grimlock, and any trailer that has Stanley Tucci screaming “OH MY GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHD!!!!” is a winner in our books.

Roll out:

Transformers: Age Of Extinction is due for release in Irish cinemas on 10 July 2014.
