Will Ferrell and the newsroom lads are returning with Anchorman 2 – that we knew, but when?

The good news is it’s on its way but the bad news is you’ll have to wait one whole year from today to see it.
That’s right, December 20, 2013 is the date Paramount Pictures have decided to release it. They, and us would really want to hope this Mayan calendar/end of the world craic doesn’t kick in.
Director Adam McKay tweeted the news to his followers, “It’s official. Anchorman 2 has a release date: December 20, 2013. Very excited.”
Us too, Adam.
The highly anticipated new movie will see Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner and Christina Applegate reprise their roles as the famous whale’s vagina San Diego news team.
Kristen Wiig from Bridesmaids and Saturday Night Live has joined the cast as a rumoured love interest to Steve Carell’s character, Brick Tamland. Meanwhile Vince Vaughan will return as Ron Burgundy’s arch nemesis, Wes Mantooth.
