Arrested Development star Alia Shawkat has been spotted in Dublin

It’s definitely Maeby.

Arrested Development star Alia Shawkat has been spotted hanging around Dublin this week.

The 28-year-old who plays Maeby Fünke in the cult TV series landed in the city to see comedian Tara Flynn’s one-woman show, Not A Funny Word on Thursday (8 March), before later popping up again in the Hacienda Bar on Friday.

Shawkat rose to fame for her role in Arrested Development, before its cancellation in 2006. Afterwards, she went on to wider acclaim after appearing in the series, Transparent, the punk thriller Green Room and 20th Century Women.

Alia Shawkat (Search Party and Transparent!) Came to Tara Flynn’s show last night and stood in awe of all Mná. Only two performances left!

Arrested Development was revived by Netflix for a fourth season, while a fifth is reported to be in the final days of production.
