The latest addition to the Avengers 4 cast all but confirms one thing about the movie

Avengers 4

There’s only so many Avengers theories that movie fans can come up with…

The new Avengers movie is set to be released in April 2019, which really isn’t that far away.

Despite this, we don’t yet have a title for the movie, an official poster, a teaser, or a trailer.

So fans have been left to do a hell of a lot of speculating when it comes to the plot of what we are referring to as Avengers 4.

But the news from the past few days has given us quite a bit to work with.

Just a few days ago, it was confirmed that the bad guy from Captain America, ‘Crossbones’ will feature in the upcoming movie.

And today we’ve learned that Tilda Swinton, who played ‘The Ancient One’ in Doctor Strange, will also appear in the movie.

According to Digital Spy, Frank Grillo, the actor who played Crossbones in Captain America said that: “When we got Tilda Swinton, she was just a one-day availability.”

Marvel fans will notice something straight away when they hear this news: both of these characters are dead.

So we can safely assume that Avengers 4 is going to feature some pretty crazy concepts.

Time-travel? That seems very likely, but it would go against what Grillo has said about his character’s role. He told the Hollywood Reporter that:

“He makes an appearance in the next Avengers movie. But it’s a flashback… I’m allowed to say whatever I want because I’m never doing another Marvel movie.”

We’d be forgiven for not believing Grillo here. Actors in the MCU, have quite a history with leading fans down a blind alley when it comes to theories.

So it does look like time-travel will play a part, but we’ll have to wait until April to find out…
