Plenty of films to choose from today.
It is Sunday.
It is the Sunday that some are dreading because it’s the final straw for their Christmas holidays. If you’ve managed to swing it that you’ve not set foot in your workplace for the entirety of this week, fair play to you.
This being said, enjoy the last drops of the Christmas break and here’s hoping that a few films can help you do that.

The Man Who Would Be King – 14:35pm on RTÉ2
Two British former soldiers decide to set themselves up as Kings in Kafiristan, a land where no white man has set foot since Alexander the Great. A classic but after watching, it’s impossible not to try and imitate Connery and Caine’s accents.
Back to the Future Part III – 14:55pm on Channel 4
Marty and Doc travel back to the Wild West. The horse shit gag with Biff never gets old.
You’ve Got Mail – 3:20pm on RTÉ1
Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan learn how to use the Internet.
Tomorrowland: A World Beyond – 4pm on BBC1
A rather underrated and under-viewed feature from Disney – yep, such a thing exists.
Bound by a shared destiny, a teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor embark on a mission to unearth the secrets of a place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory.
A very interesting box-office flop that’s worth checking out.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl – 5:15pm on ITV2

Mrs Doubtfire – 5:40pm on Channel 4
Yes, it has been endlessly shown over the Christmas season but that’s its charm.
One of those films that once its on, it’s never switched off. A wonderful performance from Robin Williams and kudos to Pierce Brosnan too because he makes a fine dickhead.
Spider-Man 2 – 6:30pm on SyFy
Doc Ock is a great villain. Raimi is on top form. The train sequence is fantastic. It’s still one of the best comic-book films ever made.
Sahara – 18:35pm on E4
To be honest, it’s just alright, alright, alright.
Skyfall – 8pm on ITV2
Are we all in agreement that ending of this film just ripped off Home Alone? Sound.
Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation – 9pm on Virgin Media One
The one where Tom Cruise hangs off the edge of a plane as it’s taking off.
Executive Decision – 9pm on ITV4
This film has been on so much over the last two weeks that we’re genuinely starting to think that it might be a Christmas film.
However, you can’t go wrong with a cast that includes Kurt Russell, Steven Seagal, Halle Berry, Oliver Platt, and John Leguizamo.
Role Models – 9pm on Comedy Central
Gayle: You know what I used to have for breakfast? Cocaine. Know what I had for lunch? Cocaine.
Wheeler: What did you have for dinner?
Danny: Was it cocaine?
Genius.
A Mighty Wind – 10:35 pm on TG4
The This Is Spinal Tap troupe are back – for the most part – in Christopher Guest’s mockumentary which captures the reunion of 1960s folk trio as they prepare for a show.
Eugene Levy steals every scene that he’s in.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug – 10:50 pm on UTV/ITV
They get to the mountain. There’s a dragon and a ring too.
Rush Hour 2 – 00:00 on Virgin Media Two
For those that are into that sort of thing.
