For Your Eyes Only…

We’ve been keeping our stealthy ‘GoldenEyes’ on the official announcement of the new Bond title all morning.

The new title has just been released ‘From Pinewood With Love’ and we’re delighted to put our ‘Goldfingers’ to the keyboard and tell you that 007’s latest adventure will be called…

Spectre.

All 007 nuts, like JOE, will know that this stands for Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion and features the uber villain Blofeld. The character’s appearance hasn’t been officially announced but we would be amazed not to see it.

We don’t think the cat will make an appearance in this one though.

The Aston Martin will be a new model the DB-10 as you can see here.

Daniel Craig has had his ‘Licence to Kill’ renewed for another go as Bond and he has promised that the film will “reclaim some of the old irony” of vintage instalments. Does this mean that the wise-ass remarks be making a comeback?

Christoph Waltz makes a very welcome appearance as a new cast member called Oberhauser but will he be a friend or a foe? Or money is on foe.

As for the ladies, the gorgeous Monica Bellucci stars, as does Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann.

Sam Mendes will be calling the shots once again which makes us very happy.

Skyfall was an incredibly tough film to pull off considering it had to to re-invigorate the franchise, introduce new characters and pay homage to some of 007’s best moments in its 50th anniversary year.

A box-office return of $1.1 billion isn’t to be sneered at and we’ve every confidence that this new film will knock ‘The Living Daylights’ out of the competition.

Irish actor and Sherlock star Andrew Scott makes an appearance as a new member of MI6 named Denbigh (we told you about this yesterday), as does Guardians of The Galaxy star Dave Bautista as Mr Hinx. If ever there was a henchman name then that’s it.

Ben Whishaw features once again as Q alongside Naomie Harris as Moneypenny while Ralph Fiennes officially takes over as M.

Principal photography on the film is due to start on Monday December 8 ahead of an October 23, 2015 release date in the UK and Ireland.

So does that leave you feeling shaken and stirred?
