Cillian Murphy and Andrew Scott will be attending the Dublin premiere of their new movie

What is better than a much-loved Irish movie star in real life? TWO much-loved Irish movie stars in real life.

As part of our 18 picks of the 2018 ADIFF, we talked about this upcoming drama as a must-watch, and we’re happy to report that the stars will be in attendance at the screening.

The Delinquent Season stars Murphy, Scott, Eva Birthistle and Catherine Walker as two happily married couples who simultaneously notice the cracks in their relationships, and the emotional nuclear fallout from the revelations that come with those cracks appearing.

It is the directorial debut of Mark O’Rowe, the screenwriter behind Intermission and Broken, both of which starred Cillian Murphy. Actually, the latter is a little seen gem that we absolutely recommend you check out if you can.

Not due for release in Ireland until Friday 13 October, the movie will be getting its premiere as part of the Audi Dublin Film Festival on Saturday 3 March.

The movie will be playing in the Light House Cinema in Smithfield, and is set to kick off at 8.30pm, with Murphy and Scott joined by their co-stars, as well as O’Rowe.

You can purchase tickets to the screening from the festival’s official website.

And while we’re talking about ADIFF guests, you’ll be happy to know that there’s plenty more visiting the capital during the festival, including Bill Pullman (Independence Day, While You Were Sleeping), Lynne Ramsey (director of We Need To Talk About Kevin), Paul Schrader (writer of Raging Bull and Taxi Driver), and loads more besides.
