Clueless Sequel Series With Alicia Silverstone Ordered At Paramount+

As Variety reports, the sequel was originally set up for development at Peacock in early 2025. It was reported in April 2026, however, that the series was no longer moving forward at that streamer, leaving its return in doubt before Paramount+ stepped in.

Production on the revival is now slated to begin in Los Angeles in 2027, with paperwork submitted to the California Film Commission in a bid to secure state tax subsidies for the shoot. The six-episode order gives the revival its firmest footing yet after a stop-start development. Silverstone first played Cher in the 1995 big-screen comedy, a breakout role that turned her into a household name and the film into an enduring teen classic.
