WWE star Cody Rhodes has a "big" secret upcoming project, according to his acting collaborator and comedian Andrew Schulz.
The pair star together in Street Fighter, the latest movie reboot of the Street Fighter franchise. Based on the popular video game series, JOE interviewed the director and most of the cast of the action flick.
You can read quotes from those conversations right here.
Paired together for the interviews were Rhodes and Schulz. Towards the end of the chat, JOE mentioned the comedian's casting in the upcoming film Miami Vice '85.
Schulz, however, was more keen to talk about a "big thing" that Rhodes has in the pipeline. He said that while the wrestler couldn't talk about it yet, it is worthy of congratulations.
You can read a transcription of the interaction in full below:
JOE: That's my time. I have to wrap up. But thank you so much for speaking to me. Congratulations on Street Fighter. I also want to say, Andrew, I'm very excited for Miami Vice [85].
Andrew Schulz: Oh, thank you, man.
Cody Rhodes: [Pats Andrew on chest] Yeah.
Andrew Schulz: Cody's got a big thing...
Cody Rhodes: No. [Looking at JOE interviewer, to move on] Thank you so much.
Andrew Schulz: ...that he's not allowed to talk about and he's probably going to hope this interview cuts out but it's a big thing. So, we should congratulate him for that.
Cody Rhodes: Miami Vice, baby!
Andrew Schulz: [Makes 'X' gesture with his arms]. This letter might hel...
The interview did indeed then cut out. While Schulz may have been playing a prank on Rhodes, you don't need to be a master detective to think of a franchise involving the letter 'X' that is about to be rebooted...
If what we're hinting at comes to pass, what character do you think the wrestler could play in said franchise?
