“What a great experience.”

Legendary US comedian Conan O’Brien has been spotted in multiple locations around Ireland over the past week or so, with his latest sighting in a Galway butchers.

The chat show host has been merrily making his way around the country filming for his upcoming travel show Conan O’Brien Must Go.

A noted lover of Ireland with familial roots in the country, O’Brien has so far been spotted in Dublin, Galway and, of course, Obama Plaza in Tipperary.

The comedian, who hosts the podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, was spotted in Loughnane’s Butcher Shop Co. Galway earlier this week, where he and his film crew were chatting to the owners of the long-running store.

In a post on Facebook, John Loughnane said the team “were delighted to welcome comedy and all-round legend, Conan O’Brien and his crew to Loughnanes Butcher Shop last night!”

The post added: “Travelling around Ireland for his new TV Show, Conan is showcasing the best that our unique nation has to offer including attractions, history, and our favourite – FOOD!

“We were honoured to showcase the history of the Loughnane Family made Black Pudding and Sausage for Conan and the team AND of course he had to have a chat with Pat before he did the taste test!

“What a great experience and a joy to demonstrate how the Traditional Family Butchers in Ireland stay true to their generational roots to produce these much-loved products.”

O’Brien also put up numerous posts on his Instagram page, one of him walking through St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin and another of him retracing his family roots in Galway with a genealogist.

The four episode series of Conan O’Brien Must Go will air later on in the year and will feature a number of face-to-face meetings with people the comedian previously chatted to remotely on his podcast.
