Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we're taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Crawl.Plot's it all about?
Last year, in advance of The Meg hitting cinemas, we preemptively declared it to be The Greatest Movie Of All Time. The premise of Jason Statham V Giant Shark was too good for it not to be the best cinematic experience ever, but it turns out... well, maybe they're saving all that goodness for the inevitable sequel.
So now, this year, knowing what we know, we've learned from our mistakes, and feel like the correct thing to do is... declare that Crawl will be The Greatest Movie Of All Time.
The official synopsis alone should be enough to get you beyond excited:
"A young woman (The Maze Runner's Kaya Scodelario), while attempting to save her father (Saving Private Ryan's Barry Pepper) during a Category 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped in a flooding house and must fight for her life against alligators."
So... alligators, in a hurricane, but all inside a flooding house?
SIGN. US. UP.
Add in the fact that it is directed by the twisted mind behind Switchblade Romance and Piranha 3D, and we're finding it tough to keep our heart-rate steady.
Starring: Kaya Scodelario, Barry Pepper, Ross Anderson
Directed by: Alexandre Aja
Irish release date: Friday 23 August
