This should be a good one.

Danny Boyle has been confirmed as the director of the new Bond movie, Bond 25.

Boyle has previously directed Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting and Battle of the Sexes to name a few, and this will be the first time in the director’s chair for the famous franchise about one of the world’s most famous (fictional) secret agents

Daniel Craig has also been confirmed to play the iconic 007 character for the fifth time. It’s his first time in the role since Spectre in 2015.

Guess we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see Cillian Murphy in the role

Bond 25 will also have Universal Studios as their co-distributors, replacing Sony.

In a statement on the official James Bond website, MGM’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Kevin Ulreich said: “We couldn’t be more thrilled than to bring the next 007 adventure to the big screen uniting the incomparable Daniel Craig with the extraordinary vision of Danny Boyle.”

Production is set to begin in December of this year, with the UK and Ireland release currently scheduled for 25 October 2019.
