Marvel fans speculating based on a 30 second trailer? No way…
During the Superbowl adverts in the early hours of Monday morning, fans were treated to a brand new trailer for Toy Story 4, and a teaser for the Avengers: Endgame, the final chapter in the Avengers saga.
And although it is only 30 seconds long, it hasn’t stopped Marvel fans from speculating about what each scene in the teaser is going to mean in the movie.
One scene in particular has fans believing that something about the trailer is offering us a clue regarding what’s going to go down in Endgame.
We see four of the main character stood next to each other, looking up into the sky with a combination of fear and confusion on their faces, and people seem to think that a fifth character has been edited out from the shot.
This is the scene in question, where, in fairness, it does look like there’s a bit of a noticeable gap between Bruce Banner and War Machine.
What do you think? Are fans of the MCU clutching at straws, as they tend to do, or is there something in this?
Could it be Captain Marvel, the person who’s going to save the day? That’s what a number of fans on Twitter seem to think.
Imagine in this scene they've just met captain marvel, she's standing inbetween Banner and Rhodey but been edited out and just before this frame she says "I brought back up" and they're all looking at Adam Warlock arriving. #AvengersEndgame #Endgame pic.twitter.com/zUEozSnD2M

Things I'm glad they DIDN'T show:
Captain Marvel- she needs to be introduced in her movie first. I bet they're building for her to be a big reveal in the second trailer once the audience knows her. Honestly she was probably also edited out of that shot in my last tweet. pic.twitter.com/SbFbR3GSN9

1. They defo edited someone out of this scene. At first I thought it’s Captain Marvel, but because they’re looking up, SHE could be the one they’re looking at. So maybe it could be Ant-Man?
2. They’re probably looking up at Captain Marvel and/or Tony & Nebula? #AvengersEndgame pic.twitter.com/pI1POzVo5Z

if that’s Captain Marvel edited out, I’m not sure why she wouldn’t be in the front, but whatever. I actually think she might be edited out of the front of this shot.
