Irish Eurovision fans can get the diary out, Eurovision 2027 will take place in Burgas, with the Bulgarian Black Sea city chosen to host the 71st edition of the contest.
The grand final will be staged on Saturday 15 May 2027, with the semi-finals on Tuesday 11 May and Thursday 13 May, RTÉ reports.
Bulgaria earned hosting rights for the first time after DARA won this year's contest in Vienna with Bangaranga, the country's first-ever Eurovision victory.
The event will be staged at Arena Burgas, Bulgaria's newest sports and entertainment venue, which opened in 2023.
The European Broadcasting Union said Burgas was selected following a “competitive” process involving four Bulgarian cities, with Burgas and Sofia progressing to the final stage of bidding.
Eurovision Song Contest Director Martin Green said: "Burgas brings something really special to the Eurovision Song Contest.
"It is a vibrant, welcoming city on the Black Sea with a strong musical and cultural identity, and it has the ambition, infrastructure, and passion needed to welcome the Eurovision family."
The announcement comes a day after the EBU confirmed that winning broadcasters will no longer be allowed to host the contest if their country is involved in an armed conflict, The Journal reports.
