The cast of the Spider-Man sequel also tell us who they'd cast as villains for the third movie.
In the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, there was a lot of pressure of Spider-Man: Far From Home to deliver, especially since it is following up not only one of the biggest movies of all time, but it is also the sequel to the hugely successful Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Thankfully, just like with Michael Keaton in that first movie, the heroes of the sequel are dealing with an amazing supporting cast this time around, with the addition of Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Cobie Smulders (Agent Hill), and Jake Gyllenhaal (Quentin Beck/Mysterio).
JOE was lucky enough to sit down with Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Zendaya (MJ), and Jacob Batalon (Ned) to discuss their roles in the new Marvel blockbuster, but there was also a lot of conversation about where they'd like to see the movies go next.
Off the back of the recent confirmation that Tom Hardy is coming back for the lead role in Venom 2 (due for release in October 2020), we asked if he is excited about a potential crossover movie:
"I mean I would love to share the screen with Tom Hardy. I would," said Holland.
"I feel like I would share the screen, but I feel like Tom would have the screen.
"I'd pop up in the background because he’s so awesome. But I would love to team up with Tom Hardy and do a Spider-Venom movie."
The trio also tell us which of the current MCU members they'd most like to see join Spider-Man in his next adventure, as well as their dream casting for a villain in Spider-Man 3.

JOE also chatted to Nick Fury himself (better known as Samuel L. Jackson), who revealed which action star he's excited about joining the MCU, as well as just how much he knows about that Black Widow standalone movie.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into Irish cinemas from Tuesday 2 July.

A loose remake of the ’60s Italian classic Fists in the Pocket, the film is described as a “bold, unpredictable portrait of a wealthy family, where privilege, desire and long-buried […]
‘This dark, brutal, and devilishly funny crime caper often leaves us unsure of whether to cringe in horror or laugh. It’s usually a bit of both.’ Sunny Nights, a new dark comedy thriller series, is now available to stream for free. Accessible through the TG4 Player, the show follows an American brother (Will Forte, Bodkin) […]
‘It’s brimming with sharp one-liners, clever callbacks, brilliantly cringey slapstick situations, and hilariously inventive sight gags.’ Splitsville, our favourite comedy movie of 2026 so far, is available to watch in cinemas now. The film follows two couples. One is made up of Ashley (Adria Arjona, Hit Man) and Carey (Kyle Marvin, The Climb), who are […]
